Ferlucci Jeans was founded in Montreal by Giovanni Pezzullo in 1980. He built the company from the ground up, having arrived from Italy just a few years prior. He learned the trade in school and by working in the field. Originally, they had started making jeans in a small basement on Alexandra Street in the Mile-Ex and they eventually expanded, making their way to Montreal’s garment district. There they thrived for the better part of a decade, making clothes and introducing new elements to the industry such as stretch denim.
Thirty-five years later, the next generation opened a neighborhood coffee shop and brought the Ferlucci name back to life. If you take a good look, you will find original items that date back to the good ol' days showcased on the café walls and shelves. Gianni Pezzullo and Megan Verdone also revived the brand and named it Ferlucci Equipment; creating clothing and coffee-related lifestyle products. Enjoy!
