Eyebag Design

Through her project, EYEBAG designs, graphic artist Ally von Zadora-Gerlof, explores juxtaposing themes of man vs machine, organic vs mechanical/industrial, tangible vs abstract. Experimenting with materials derived from East and West, such as Suminigashi, (Japanese water paint), Japanese Chiyogami paper, metallic pigments, black ink, and graphite, her works offer perspective through a unique fusion of bold colours, geometric patterns and unusual textures. Her fascination with the otherworldly illustrations of Moebius, Wallace Woods, Killian Eng, and psychedelic visual mastery of Hapsash & the Coloured Coat, M.C. Escher, and James Jean, has inspired allusions to sci-fi, fantasy/mythology, spirituality, and nature, seen throughout her designs.
